Shao Kahn unlocking glitch

I'm pretty sure you've already heard about this and there must be a thread on this already, but I am facing this problem right now. I cant unlock Shao Kahn, I cant even replay the MK side of the story.

What suggestions do you have to unlock shao kahn?

make sure you have story mode beat when do this. itll cut straight to the ending scene and unlock him still. so theres no point in running through story mode again:

1) unplug both controllers from the ps3/xbox

2) plug both back in, but this time, use PLAYER 2's CONTROLLER to operate the menu. Using player 2's controller is the secret to unlocking them.

3) Select Story Mode using Player 2's controller. Use Player 2's controller the entire time for this.

4) Select Mortal Kombat story mode and itll cut straight to the end. Itll say congratulations you have unlocked shao kahn.

5) Skip the credits, go back to arcade mode with still using player 2's controller just in case and press R1 and this time shao kahn/darkseid should be available.

Bro the problem is simple. You have to play the DC side bro. You get Darkseid on the mk side.

I actually unlocked Darkseid by playing the DC side, and i'll check that out Check, thanks.

how u get the boss from the opposite side. thats why when the boss trys to use his power he cant because hes in a different universe.

Im not sure, considering Shao Kahn is the boss who appears in the DC side I would've thought Shao Kahn would've been unlocked. Sure enough Darkseid was. I have yet to check out Check's advice since my older brother has the the PS3 but I think it would work.

i had this problem and made a thread on it.It was so annoying but problem solved now.
